INDONESIAN LIMITED STAY VISA: GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Limited stay visa: General Understanding 

Limited stay visa in Indonesia The Indonesian VITAS or an Indonesian limited stay visa can be considered as an Invitation Visa to enter Indonesia, this type of visa is issued in regards to the application made by an Indonesian sponsor in Indonesia in order to invite a foreigner to enter into Indonesian territory. This visa is issued upon the approval made by The Indonesian Immigration Directorate General, towards the application made by a valid Indonesian sponsor which is applying for The Indonesian Limited stay permit (KITAS) for the foreigner.

 

Generally, the VITAS or the Indonesian limited stay visa is issued within seven working days since applied by the valid sponsor. The Indonesian VITAS can be collected within the nearest Indonesian Embassy abroad, or it can be specified in accordance with the request made by the applicant of where to send the VITAS to. The validity of an Indonesian VITAS is for two consecutive months and the applicant must collect the Indonesian VITAS within the said two months or before its expired.

After submitting the required supporting documentations to the nearest Indonesian Immigration authority, the Indonesian limited stay visa can be given to the following individuals :

  1. Foreign Capital investment;
  2. An expert on particular fields;
  3. working as a company's top leaders;
  4. working as a clergy;
  5. To join an Indonesian wife or an Indonesian husband;
  6. To Join his or her parents for a legitimate child who holds a foreign passport or nationality;
  7. To join a husband or a wife in Indonesia ;
  8. Minors joining his or her parents who is currently staying in Indonesia;
